Internship Program
Our internship program is open to students currently enrolled in Art History, Museum & Gallery Methods, History, or Anthropology classes at Sonoma State University. One to three interns are selected each semester based on current project needs.

This internship is intended to provide hands-on experience maintaining an archive of historic documents.
​
Tasks may include but are not limited to:

Scanning and digitally archiving photos and documents.

Filing and organizing original photographs and other source material.

Cleaning and protecting documents and objects for archival storage.

Researching archival storage practices including protection from temperature and moisture,
pest management, fire and smoke damage, and mitigating active deterioration.

Sharing and documenting historic photos and archive work on social media or other digital
platforms.

Support and assist staff and visiting researchers on projects as needed.
